Biography: Professor Bradley Moore is a biosynthetic chemist and pioneer in the field of natural product genome mining. He specializes in reading and writing the genetic code of marine life to understand and develop new ocean-based biomaterials, drug leads and molecular tools. Moore is a Distinguished Professor at UC San Diego with joint appointments in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Scripps Institution of Oceanography where he is the John Dove Isaacs Endowed Chair in Natural Philosophy. He has published over 280 peer-reviewed articles, trained nearly 100 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, and has been recognized with numerous awards and honors, including the 2013 Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award and 2021 Ernest Guenther Award in the Chemistry of Natural Products from the ACS. He is a former Associate Editor of Organic Letters and the current Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Natural Products.
